New things for 2013

  Happy New Year 2013 to all those out there friends and family... I certainly hope this year is prosperous in all things for you and your family!

  Meanwhile at the studio we will be adding some new things this year. We also will be opening a new online shop.  Yeah! I'll be sure to post the link as soon as everything is set up.  We have had quite a busy year but hopefully things will settle down this year.  We will also likely have a move around May but that shouldn't affect the studio.  The production might slow a tad bit between May and June but hopefully not too much.

  We have decided to add some really sweet jewelry this year to the shop that is the cute creations of my daughter.  I'll be posting pictures of this as well.

So Christmas is just around the corner ... what to buy

  I have always got these little projects running around in my head.  I could be the perfect entrepreneur but I would need more investors or more money.  I still love, love, love to make things. I have talked to hubby and we have decided for this year for Christmas we will be making the Farmhouse tables - white or wood finish... There are really awesome tables and extremely durable.  I wanted to share a few pictures of my Farmhouse table that we built last year.  The table is constructed with quality lumber, bolts, screws (more durable than nails) and low voc paint.  We put a lot of quality and effort into our home made items as if we were going to use them ourselves.  The tables do not come with chairs but I have paired my table with lovely Ikea chairs ( I like the beachy look) but you can pair any chairs with the table and they go really well. You can buy the beach chairs or even slip cover your current dining chairs to match or maybe they would already match.  each table is custom made so if you are interested please email me and I will send you a quote based on materials, labor and shipping charges.

Pumpkin Blueberry Bread

I was just planning my menu today for next week. There is a bit of chill in the air and there is nothing to make that chill go away like a fresh loaf of bread. Hope you enjoy. I will from time to time put some recipes on the site. Pumpkin Blueberry Bread

Preheat oven to 350 Grease & flour 2 small loaf pans2 cups flour 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground cloves 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 tsps nutmeg Mix all the above ingredients together in a mixer until blended. Gradually add to dry ingredients in mixer: 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 small can pure pumpkin or squash 3/4 cup water 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Stir in 3/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries or other fruit of your choice. Spread into greased loaf pans & bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Serve with butter or cream cheese.

All things baby

This is a cute baby project that I did on commission not too long ago.  I am also going to show you a gift package that I did for a sweet new friend from Africa that just moved to the states this past year, soon found out she was pregnant, and has since had a beautiful baby boy.  I love doing baby projects. I can also do most of the baby items whether it is a baby coverlet, receiving blankets, bibs, changing pads, onesies I can embroider cute pictures on them or monogram and I use as many natural and organic products as possible.  Please email me if you are interested in doing an order today.  This is the set that was commissioned.
